Inglewood, in South Bay
Kia Forum
Arena · 3900 W Manchester Blvd
The Kia Forum trades its old basketball and hockey calendar for arena concerts, with decades of Inglewood music history behind the stage.
Designed by Charles Luckman, the building opened in December 1967 and housed the Lakers and Kings. Aretha Franklin played in early 1968, followed over the years by Led Zeppelin, Queen and Fleetwood Mac.
A substantial renovation upgraded the acoustics and adapted backstage facilities for artists. The venue reopened in January 2014 with six Eagles concerts, beginning its current chapter as a music and entertainment destination.
