Caffè Reggio
Coffee

Domenico Parisi opened this on MacDougal Street in 1927 and the 1902 espresso machine he bought is still standing in the front. The walls are hung with Italian paintings and an old Medici bench, and nobody hurries you off a marble table. It runs to three in the morning most nights, which is later than almost any other café in the neighborhood.

Porto Rico Importing Co.
Coffee

Pasquale Albanese started this on Bleecker Street in 1907 and the Longo family bought it in 1958. Burlap sacks of green and roasted beans line the floor and the smell reaches the sidewalk. There is a small counter for espresso and iced coffee if you do not want a pound of beans.
