A five-screen cinema in the old Waverly Theater building at Sixth Avenue and West 3rd, running new independent releases alongside a midnight series on Friday and Saturday. The midnight slot is the reason to know about it, because almost nothing else in the neighborhood programs that late. Tickets are sold at a street-level box office.
Mon to Thu and Sun, 10:30am to 10:30pm. Fri and Sat, 10:30am to 12:30am. The box office opens 15 minutes before the first screening and closes 20 minutes after the last one starts

Library: Mon to Thu, 10am to 8pm. Fri and Sat, 10am to 5pm. Sun, 1pm to 5pm. The adjoining Jefferson Market Garden keeps irregular volunteer hours, most reliably Tuesday and Thursday mornings from mid-April through September
