Lower Manhattan
St. Paul's Chapel
Culture
The chapel at Broadway and Fulton went up in 1766 and is the oldest public building still in continuous use in Manhattan. It stands under a hundred yards from where the towers fell and came through undamaged, then spent nine months as the place recovery workers slept and ate. The pew scarred by their equipment is still inside, along with a cross forged from World Trade Center steel.
Open to the public 8:30am to 6pm on weekdays and Saturday, Sunday until 4:30pm. There is a security check at the door
