Outside in Lower Manhattan

An acre of lawn and planting sitting a level above Water Street, reached by an escalator tucked beside the entrance to an office tower. Almost nobody finds it who has not been told it is there. The east end looks out at the harbor and the Brooklyn Bridge, and it is legally required to stay open to the public.

May 1 to September 30, 7am to 10pm. October 1 to April 30, 8am to 8pm. It may be closed for events up to twelve days a year, with notice posted at the entrances
