A small French-leaning cafe on Varet Street that pours wine and beer alongside the coffee. Breakfast runs all day and the food is eggs and sandwiches rather than a pastry case. The block is residential and quiet compared with Bogart Street two over.
Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4pm. Saturday and Sunday 7:30am to 4:30pm.
A micro roastery on Grattan Street with a cafe counter at the front of the same daylit space. They roast on site and run public cuppings where anyone can taste what is currently on the bar. You order at the counter and sit at the long tables.
Weekdays 7am to 5pm. Weekends 8am to 5pm.
The counter directly across from the Morgan Avenue L stairs, and the one the loft buildings on Bogart Street run on. Coffee, bagels and sandwiches ordered standing up. Independently owned, with two other Brooklyn shops under the same name.
Monday to Friday 7am to 7pm. Saturday and Sunday 8am to 7pm.
The Graham Avenue branch of a Bushwick roaster that started on Wyckoff Avenue in 2008. It stays open until 9pm, which is unusual for coffee anywhere near these venues. Counter service and enough tables to sit down.
Daily 7am to 9pm.
