Kings County Brewers Collective brews on Troutman Street and pours it a few steps from the tanks, a couple of doors from the Bushwick Collective walls. The tap list turns over constantly. Dogs are allowed and the space absorbs a crowd without a wait.
Monday to Thursday 4pm to 11pm. Friday 3pm to midnight. Saturday noon to midnight. Sunday 1pm to 10pm.
A bar on Grattan Street in a building that used to make caskets, opened in October 2010 by two people who had been playing in bands. Everything behind the bar is vegan, mixers included, and there is pizza late. Trivia and karaoke fill most of the calendar.

A bar off the Graham Avenue L built out of salvaged wood, with a back patio and a window where Howlin' Taco runs Austin-style breakfast tacos seven nights a week. It stays open to 4am every night. Happy hour runs 5pm to 9pm on weekdays.

A dive on Waterbury Street with pool, a tented back patio and a kitchen doing Mexican-leaning pub food. Loud guitars on the stereo and art covering the walls. It opens at noon and runs to 4am from Thursday through Sunday.

Wyckoff Avenue has had this bar off the Jefferson L since 2012, female owned, with coffee during the day and a yoga studio behind the bar. Karaoke, comedy and pool fill the nights. It opens at 3pm and closes at midnight.

A narrow bar on Flushing Avenue in what used to be the Pocket Utopia gallery, fitted out with art deco salvage and a back garden. Matt Webber and Keith Cochran opened it in 2010 and the drinks are still built properly. It holds a few dozen people at most.
