Columbia Street Waterfront, in Brooklyn

Jalopy Theatre

Listening Space · 315 Columbia Street

Official site Directions

Jalopy is a Red Hook listening space and music school where old-time, folk and country players share a stage with the students learning it.

The theater and the School of Music operate together at the same Columbia Street address, offering classes, workshops and private lessons alongside the performance calendar.

Jalopy runs the Brooklyn Folk Festival and a weekly open mic, and operates its own label, Jalopy Records. The programming leans acoustic and traditional rather than amplified.
