Drinks in East Shore

A corner bar at the bottom of New Dorp Lane, down where the street runs out at the beach, open from eight in the morning until four the next. Televisions, a pool table and a kitchen putting out burgers and wings. It is the last thing open on this end of the island most nights.

Daily, 8am to 4am

A bar and grill on New Dorp Plaza right beside the Staten Island Railway platform, which is where the name comes from. Breakfast from nine, a long bar, burgers and wings the rest of the day. Trains going past the window are part of the deal.

Mon to Thu, 9am to 9pm. Fri and Sat, 9am to 11pm. Sun, 9am to 9pm
