Franklin
The Franklin Theatre
Theater · 419 Main St, Franklin TN
A restored 1937 Main Street theater and one of downtown Franklin's main stages.
The Franklin Theatre reopened in 2010 after a $14 million restoration. The original auditorium is intact, the capacity is all seated, and the Main Street location makes the dinner-and-show plan obvious.
The calendar moves between songwriters and legacy acts, with film, comedy, and community programming filling in around them. It runs quieter and more deliberate than the Nashville club circuit, which is sometimes exactly what you want.
